How we do it.
You remove the old unit and ship it to us. We do not remove or install. Shipping is both ways.
Your old unit is stripped, vigorously cleaned. and reassembled with good working order and the newest, high quality components available. If the unit has excessive corrosion it will be given a fresh coat of paint to protect it.
Most rebuilds cost about half or less than buying new. Starting at $550.

Can all tilt trim units be rebuilt?
Most but not all tilt trim units can be rebuilt. There are some units that parts are simply not available for at a reasonable cost. Others are just too old to find the replacement parts. These are the exceptions because most units can be rebuilt at a significantly lower cost than buying new. Guaranteed for 1 year but will continue to perform for many more years of boating enjoyment.
Each unit is evaluated on arrival. Pricing is subject to the condition of the unit being rebuilt. O-rings, seals, wipers, gaskets and all labor are included in the estimate. Estimate pricing is effected by the following.
Non functioning electric motors, valve bodies, unserviceable pump components, manual release valves, rams, end caps or any other component deemed defective will be charged as extra. There would be no additional labor added to the rebuild just the cost of the parts.
We do not upcharge the cost of the parts. What we pay you pay. Discovery of defective parts can occur any time during the rebuild process. If a part is no longer in production, good condition, recycled parts may be used to get you back on the water.
There is a minimum $125 inspection fee which will be waived if the unit is rebuilt. Parts purchased for the rebuild are non refundable.

1 Year Warranty
All new tilt trim hydraulic components are guaranteed free from defect for one full year or we will repair it at no cost to the customer. If any part that Canada Tilt Trim replaces fails within one year return the unit and we will make it right. This warranty is not transferrable and does not cover shipping or parts not replaced at the time of rebuild, improper installation, accidental damage, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions. All components are covered on products purchased from the website. Safe removal, installation, and use of the tilt trim is the responsibility of the owner. A qualified service technician is recommended for removal and installation. Canada Tilt Trim is not in any way responsible for personal injury or damages associated with removal, installation or use of any item sold or repaired.
